Every year during the Christmas
holidays my Mighty Granddad is going to set me a task.
A task to find out about a subject that will be interesting to my
web site visitors and useful for me to learn.
So, for two weeks a year I become a researchers assistant and in
a few years time I will do my own research. I have learnt how to
use Yaoogloo!
which uses all the search engines.
Last year (2005) my task was to find out all the different names
that creatures have for their fathers, mothers, babies, homes and
groups. It's all in the Creatures section
and hopefully other kids will find it useful.
At the moment my Granddad, sorry Mighty Granddad (he makes me
call him that), is looking after my web site. I picked the
colours and insisted on the scurrying geckos and the following eyes
on my Creatures Page and Favourites
Page. Once I can design and build my own I will keep all my
old web sites, such as this one, in the Archive
section.
It will be great to be able to look back in ten years time and look
at my old sites. By that time having my own web site, with my own
domain name, will be a real benefit to me. I can't believe how so
forward thinking I am for a six year old. |
